Yes. Follow Martind's advice. Call several PCP's and explain to the nurse receptionist
your situation and if "They ever prescribe this type of medication"
If they say "no we don't do that here" then you'll know.
If they say"Why not make an appointment,come in and see the doctor" your chances will be better. IMO.

Whilst I realise this thread is to discuss the drug, not the suppliers, there is a problem getting Xanax at the moment with Airsealed and a couple of others having stopped supplies. In the circumstances it seems reasonable to ask if anyone knows reliable IOP's still supplying it.

So - unless this thread is pulled - any suggestions?

Just heard from AS. They expect to be shipping Xanax again from December so problem solved :-)

i've taken xanax off and on for PD since the mid-80's (Rxed first time in 1987). honestly? don't see a difference between any of them; strength seems comparable.

i know that's not always true, though. US law allows a 90% - 110% range to pass QC, so if you're hitting 90% on a Rx, you'll feel the difference. it's why i always try to stay with upjohn if possible; greenstone seems good as well.

I have a bottle of the yellow purepac right now. Can't get much better IMHO. Purepac and Greenstone are the 2 best generics made in the US if you ask me. I also like the double scored green Dava bar. Not sure why people complain about those. All very good. If I had a choice, I would take the purepac everytime.

ack those yellow ones were a waste of money to me! i just got the white g3722's in the mail today and im in love. i wonder why my body reacted differently to the yellow then others?

its not your body. like I said in another thread, you either got ripped off or old ones.

as for the new green dava ones. those weren't around back when I was still taking xanax so I don't know how good or bad those are. I've heard of people not getting them because they thought they were fake.

I got xanax called mylan? It has a cross on it so you can break it in four pieces. Has anyone heard of this and is it like a time release? Suppose to be 2 mg.

These are domestic Mylan 2mg. I am pretty sure they are not time released.

ive had the round ones and they arent time release. Time release would never have anyway to break them up, and usually coated.

These are good points DR.S.B., I first saw the Xanax XR 2mg pentagons, now I believe they come in all strengths, shapes, and sizes.

If I were to stop taking daily 1-2 mg alprazolam cold turkey, after 3 years daily use, how many days before I would be able to get some sleep?
