I thought I read somewhere that joining to be a VIP is $30 - $40 or something? Is the $15 joining fee for half a year or something?? Thank you.....

As with anything else, you can join for different periods of time. I, personally, joined for six (6) months at whatever the price was. There are discounts that can pay for it quickly. Also, VIP or Freeboard, if you keep from getting ripped it is WELL worth it. The VIP memberships help to keep the Freeboard free so, if you want to help yourself & others, join up.

I would like to become a VIP. Is it possible I pay my 15 dollars via paypal and then 5 a month? I didn't see where i could use the paypal option for the 15 dollar first month.
