Follow up on my first order was a breeze. I clicked the refill button and within an hour had a FedEx tracking number. I love this place.

Hi all,
just wanted to share my experience with YPM. Sunday night I was asking around about who would possibly do a same day consult. YPM was recommended by several people. Sunday night I filled out consult papers, paid for consult with CC, faxed my ID and records. I then PM'd Stephanie,(at another member's suggestion) to request same-day if possible. She's awesome. I got a pm at 4:30am,(yes,in the morning) telling me I'm on the schedule for 10a-11a. Right at 10:25a, I got the call for phone consult. Doctor was knowledgable and compassionate. Script was at pharmacy within 2 hours. Fedex tracking # was transposed, so it didn't track, but Stephanie reassured me that meds were being filled, and not to worry. Sure enough, Fedex came this morning, packed in a box, no clue as to contents. They also give you an extra empty small bottle to carry around a smaller quantity of your meds on your person. From start to finish, this was a smooth and professional consultation. Can't say enough about this outfit, highly recommend. Customer service is the best. Definitely a hard act to follow for those other ROPs. Thanks to YPM.

Mr. watson "HAS" dissapeared from the shelf. Mrs. Mallie has taken his place.M367.

Although I'm not in the loop,I was told by the pharmacy that the Watson company is controlling the supply chain to some pharmacies.

Why would they do this? If I were one of their stock holders I would raise h$ll, as this will surely reflect the bottom line as it applies to sells and dollars.

As for as the folks at YPM, you'll not find a better team of people to deal with.

My experience with YPM has been a great one. I have had my consult and have been provided in a timely manner. The only problem that I experienced was that the site defaulted to Saturday delivery, and my cc was charged 45.00 for that shipment... (It was a Friday) and then apparently YPM had provided the wrong addy to Fedex, and I didn't get my meds until Monday (Ay, me!).
I contacted Steph about this, and spoke with Chris as well. They had me call Tracy at the pharmacy, and he apologized, fixed my address, contacted Fedex personally to ensure that my package would arrive Monday, and then took the entire 45.00 shipping fee off of my next order!
Fabulous.
I've worked in Customer Service as long as I could hold a job, and I must say that through a tough time, YPM came through and soothed the savage beast.
2 thumbs up!

I was going to suggest ypm over in the introducton thread earlier, small world huh . If you're not a VIP on the drugbuyers yet, you really should consider becoming one. The $25.00 discount for YPM really comes in handy. They also offer other promotions periodically only on the VIP side as well.

Just gotta throw my 2 cents in also...Stephanie,you are an amazing cs rep!! After finding out that my old op took a dump I was in a state of shock! In a matter of hours I not only received a phone call from her,but she also updated my info, scheduled a same day consult for me,and even calmed me down...lol.The next day fedex pulled into my driveway with my meds.By the way,the doctor that I spoke to was an extremely nice guy and actually cared about my cp issues, and also answered all of my questions...YPM will have my business from now on...thanks Stephanie, you're the best!!!

Only positive things to say! Although my consult was several hours late (their reg doc was out and they had a fill in), it did come, the doc was great, I got what I needed...the next day.

CS was tremendous even to the point of giving me a call. They didn't even lose it with a couple of rather nasty remarks on thier forum.

It's pricey, but I got what I paid for and more. Outstanding service goes a long way in my book. YPM double rocks!! I won't use any other!

This ROP sounds like a first class establishment. I have been looking for a new ROP for my back pain, so I think I am going to give this one a try. I read that the medication comes in factory sealed bottles, I have never hear of this. Does that include pain medications including Hydrocdone? could someone tell me what brand of 10/325mg. they fill, and the name of the pharmacy. I would appreciate any information someone might have about this.

Can I ask the folks that use this service a question? In your medical records...do you have to have documented the medication that you are trying to obtain? Ie - if you are asking for XXX, you must show that your doc prescribed you XXX? (the problem in some cases is that the doc isn't willing to prescribe XXX)

Wow...I'm speachless. I'm kicking myself wondering why I never did this months ago. I talked to the doc for a few minutes and get this, she use to go to the same PCP that I do, and she talked on and on about how much of an uncompassioante jerk he was. Total process took 2-3 hours and I'm expecting my meds tomorrow. =)

Edit: Even more good news: The pharmicist called me and said "Hey since we are in your area, would you like to come by and just pick up the meds to save you some money?" Sure, why not, they are located like 5 minutes from me AND I will have my meds overnight, for free!

Can't say anything but good about these guys, thank you YPM

Is anyone else having trouble printing their physical form? I need it to update but cannot print it and cannot get a new consult w/o it. I faxed what I got from the dr. in Oct. for my insurance but its pretty basic and they need their own form. When I print it I get a blank page and nothing more. I've emailed Stephanie and hopefully she can help come up with a solution but............. Any one help?

Maybe its the luck of the draw. I used YPW recently and my records are not to great, I have even been turned down by 1 other ROP , apainsolution, I didn't get a huge count but was still able to get meds and in a pinch as I ran out before the holidays, they got me in same day consult and next day meds, now they are my main ROP.
Plus, they offer 3 refills after you're 1st fill! Thats awesome!

While I do have what I consider to be good records, I have used YPM since they opened, and this is the first time I have heard someone say they are 'very picky'. I know they do require legit records up front, prior to consult, and you need to have an updated physical, within the past year, I believe. Ron, the PA who does most of the consults is extremely nice, and I think Chris (the owner) is even willing to let you fax your records in prior to signing up with them and paying the consult fee, and have the doc take a look at them. Not saying you didn't have a negative experience, just that other than YPM being strict about the requirements they do have in place (for good reason), I really have not heard of the 'very picky' thing.
I guess, as with any doctor, they must decide if they feel comfortable rx'ing for your condition, based on the information that you send them. Happens with face to face doctors all the time.......even when going to the ER, one might be willing to write an rx for you, while another might suggest an OTC medication. Sorry it didn't work out for you.......

My GP suddenly decided to stop rx'ing to chronic pain meds, and my Pain Clinic doctor is out of the country. I do not have a pain contract, and my Pain doc and I had discussed OCSs in the past (his wife, a pain doc herself, uses one), so I knew he would have no issue with it.

So I took the jump and YPM came through for me. There was one temporary admin type problem, but we were able to work around it, for the moment. I was able to get both meds I needed (pain med and muscle relaxer) at the dosage I needed, of course my records did indicate that both were called for.

I am happy with my decision.

In my experiance there are no nicer or more helpful folks anywhere than those at YPM. They've never failed to answer any questions or concerns that I've had. I have personally dealt with "Pain Management" for over ten years. I have a lot of experiance with "Pain Management Doctors" and the process in general, but I have never met a nicer, kinder, more compassionate group of PA's and Doctors than the ones at YPM. They're just simply outstanding in their field. The best of the best!

They are working on their servers. They have been working on them for a couple days now. It's not an easy process. They should be up and running by the beggining of next week, but don't quote me on that.

This place YPM, has got to be thee WORST/FRUSTRATING OPs out there. Still cant figure out why people like this "service"
After all the RAVES here, I thought I would give them a try. I faxed my records, ID, etc. Doc calls me and says he needs add'l records, which I faxed. YPM rc'd and Kate set my Consult up for Fri 1/20. Nobody called, so I emailed today, and got a call from "Ron" saying they need current physical records??? I sent my bloodwork from my physical 5/05. And now he says they need more current records. This after taking my C.C. info TWICE! I HAD refills left w/Advanced/Cyber (15/100) but I guess my records arent good enough. Hope my C/C wasnt charged.
2 Thumbs way DOWN!

The reason YPM has many positive reviews is because they have earned them. They have been changing servers and updating their site to make it more user friendly....... and this has caused some problems over the past few days (since last week, really). Usually their CS is top notch, and if you send a PM or post on their forum, Stephanie or Kate will help right away. I know they are very busy right now, with the server/site changes, so they might not be as prompt.

As far as the records.... they do require valid records. I'm assuming this to mean records that clearly state the chronic condition for which you are seeking medication. As far as I know, in addition to this, you must have records from a recent physical (within the past year). I don't know what records you sent, and I'm obviously not the doc or PA from YPM, but if you sent in bloodwork from a recent physical, and that 'wasn't enough', I would guess they are wanting more of the records from the physical...... honestly, bloodwork doesn't always show anything. Records from a physical would usually contain your vitals (blood pressure, etc.). Again, I'm not the doctor, but think that they not only want to establish that you have a chronic condition for which you have been prescribed the medication you are seeking, and that you have been seen by a doctor within the past year for a physical which would include your vitals, and current condition information.

I realize this board is for posting feedback, positive and negative...... and I am aware that YPM is having some difficulty right now, due to the server/site changes..... but their positive feedback is well earned, and the comments you made are pretty harsh. Not all OP's will accept the same records, and while I don't think YPM is overly strict on their records requirement, I do think they are strict about the requirements they have..... if that makes sense? If they need a recent physical, showing your vitals, etc., then that is what they need. If they need proof of a chronic condition, then that is what they need........ if they need proof you have been rx'd the medication before, then again....... that is what they need, and they don't bend on the requirements.

They are a top notch, OCS, and the owner is very careful to follow the guidelines he feels necessary for YPM to stick around. The site/server problems are recent, and of course, temporary. The owner, Chris has always gone above and beyond to help patients, and I've even seen him post, offering to have someone fax in their records to be looked over by the doctor to get an idea if they might be okay, prior to signing up for a consult.
As stated, if you have a problem, rather than come out bashing them, you might try PM'ing Stephanie or Kate on the YPM forum, or posting in the Customer Service area of the forum. Keep in mind that while response is usually almost immediately, right now they are very busy with server issues.

Yes, they are great, professional, on the up and up (legal) etc., all the things they should be, and more. Having said that, my refill was due on Thursday, the 19th, and it's nowhere in sight, a complete mystery as to when I'll get it. . .and there's been no response from YPM, despite my polite, pleasant and patient emails to Steph and Kate (and not a barrage; there have been 3 over a week).

I realize I'm not their only patient, and that , as I've said, the World, including YPM, does not revolve around me.
But now, I'm down to a very small amount of medication, am probably facing an "enforced" hydro holiday, which I'm not real happy about.

I understand their computer/server problems are real, complex and serious, and that it takes time to resolve such issues; I am not unsympathetic. But, if they couldn't correspond with each of us on an individual basis, I really think that some kind of mass emailing to their client-base, explaining what the deal was/is, what options we had (if any), some kind of reassurance, etc., et al, would have been in order.

And, yes, I've tried to register to comment at their official forum, but that, at this point, is impossible. (Even though I'm a registered customer, I didn't previously sign up for the forum, so I can only read, not post my specific questions or comments.)

YPM is great and I've no intention of bailing. But this is a very frustrating -- and about to turn into a painful -- period.

Joff,

If you'd like, and I can totally understand if you don't want, but I would be more than happy to be a mouthpiece at their forum for you...or send any PM's that you wouldlike to send to Kate or Steph. Again, this is probably not something you want to do...be it you'd have to give me your personal info probably to get the ball rolling, but I just wanted to offer that to you....I have no problem passing a message along to them at their forum...or whatever you'd like.

Girlie, do you work for YPM? You have to learn to take the bad along w/the good, and my experience was NOT good. If you dont want to hear the truth, ignore it. No matter what all these ROP's do, NOTHING, and I repeat NOTHING will satisfy the face to face, Dr to patient relationship except a FACE to FACE. Dig? Dont get all high & mighty on YPM, they are doing the SAME thing (operating in the 'gray' area) that ALL OP's are doing right now.
