Hi all, just wanted to share my experience with YPM. Sunday night I was asking around about who would possibly do a same day consult. YPM was recommended by several people. Sunday night I filled out consult papers, paid for consult with CC, faxed my ID and records. I then PM'd Stephanie,(at another member's suggestion) to request same-day if possible. She's awesome. I got a pm at 4:30am,(yes,in the morning) telling me I'm on the schedule for 10a-11a. Right at 10:25a, I got the call for phone consult. Doctor was knowledgable and compassionate. Script was at pharmacy within 2 hours. Fedex tracking # was transposed, so it didn't track, but Stephanie reassured me that meds were being filled, and not to worry. Sure enough, Fedex came this morning, packed in a box, no clue as to contents. They also give you an extra empty small bottle to carry around a smaller quantity of your meds on your person. From start to finish, this was a smooth and professional consultation. Can't say enough about this outfit, highly recommend. Customer service is the best. Definitely a hard act to follow for those other ROPs. Thanks to YPM. RS

My experience with YPM has been a great one. I have had my consult and have been provided in a timely manner. The only problem that I experienced was that the site defaulted to Saturday delivery, and my cc was charged 45.00 for that shipment... (It was a Friday) and then apparently YPM had provided the wrong addy to Fedex, and I didn't get my meds until Monday (Ay, me!). I contacted Steph about this, and spoke with Chris as well. They had me call Tracy at the pharmacy, and he apologized, fixed my address, contacted Fedex personally to ensure that my package would arrive Monday, and then took the entire 45.00 shipping fee off of my next order! Fabulous. I've worked in Customer Service as long as I could hold a job, and I must say that through a tough time, YPM came through and soothed the savage beast. 2 thumbs up!

While I do have what I consider to be good records, I have used YPM since they opened, and this is the first time I have heard someone say they are 'very picky'. I know they do require legit records up front, prior to consult, and you need to have an updated physical, within the past year, I believe. Ron, the PA who does most of the consults is extremely nice, and I think Chris (the owner) is even willing to let you fax your records in prior to signing up with them and paying the consult fee, and have the doc take a look at them. Not saying you didn't have a negative experience, just that other than YPM being strict about the requirements they do have in place (for good reason), I really have not heard of the 'very picky' thing. I guess, as with any doctor, they must decide if they feel comfortable rx'ing for your condition, based on the information that you send them. Happens with face to face doctors all the time.......even when going to the ER, one might be willing to write an rx for you, while another might suggest an OTC medication. Sorry it didn't work out for you.......

I keep trying to join also and it keeps saying the same thing. Chris or someone from YPM please PM for help with this. Thanks!
They are working on their servers. They have been working on them for a couple days now. It's not an easy process. They should be up and running by the beggining of next week, but don't quote me on that.

The reason YPM has many positive reviews is because they have earned them. They have been changing servers and updating their site to make it more user friendly....... and this has caused some problems over the past few days (since last week, really). Usually their CS is top notch, and if you send a PM or post on their forum, Stephanie or Kate will help right away. I know they are very busy right now, with the server/site changes, so they might not be as prompt. As far as the records.... they do require valid records. I'm assuming this to mean records that clearly state the chronic condition for which you are seeking medication. As far as I know, in addition to this, you must have records from a recent physical (within the past year). I don't know what records you sent, and I'm obviously not the doc or PA from YPM, but if you sent in bloodwork from a recent physical, and that 'wasn't enough', I would guess they are wanting more of the records from the physical...... honestly, bloodwork doesn't always show anything. Records from a physical would usually contain your vitals (blood pressure, etc.). Again, I'm not the doctor, but think that they not only want to establish that you have a chronic condition for which you have been prescribed the medication you are seeking, and that you have been seen by a doctor within the past year for a physical which would include your vitals, and current condition information. I realize this board is for posting feedback, positive and negative...... and I am aware that YPM is having some difficulty right now, due to the server/site changes..... but their positive feedback is well earned, and the comments you made are pretty harsh. Not all OP's will accept the same records, and while I don't think YPM is overly strict on their records requirement, I do think they are strict about the requirements they have..... if that makes sense? If they need a recent physical, showing your vitals, etc., then that is what they need. If they need proof of a chronic condition, then that is what they need........ if they need proof you have been rx'd the medication before, then again....... that is what they need, and they don't bend on the requirements. They are a top notch, OCS, and the owner is very careful to follow the guidelines he feels necessary for YPM to stick around. The site/server problems are recent, and of course, temporary. The owner, Chris has always gone above and beyond to help patients, and I've even seen him post, offering to have someone fax in their records to be looked over by the doctor to get an idea if they might be okay, prior to signing up for a consult. As stated, if you have a problem, rather than come out bashing them, you might try PM'ing Stephanie or Kate on the YPM forum, or posting in the Customer Service area of the forum. Keep in mind that while response is usually almost immediately, right now they are very busy with server issues.

Yes, they are great, professional, on the up and up (legal) etc., all the things they should be, and more. Having said that, my refill was due on Thursday, the 19th, and it's nowhere in sight, a complete mystery as to when I'll get it. . .and there's been no response from YPM, despite my polite, pleasant and patient emails to Steph and Kate (and not a barrage; there have been 3 over a week).
I realize I'm not their only patient, and that , as I've said, the World, including YPM, does not revolve around me.
But now, I'm down to a very small amount of medication, am probably facing an "enforced" hydro holiday, which I'm not real happy about.
I understand their computer/server problems are real, complex and serious, and that it takes time to resolve such issues; I am not unsympathetic. But, if they couldn't correspond with each of us on an individual basis, I really think that some kind of mass emailing to their client-base, explaining what the deal was/is, what options we had (if any), some kind of reassurance, etc., et al, would have been in order.
And, yes, I've tried to register to comment at their official forum, but that, at this point, is impossible. (Even though I'm a registered customer, I didn't previously sign up for the forum, so I can only read, not post my specific questions or comments.)
YPM is great and I've no intention of bailing. But this is a very frustrating -- and about to turn into a painful -- period.
