I ordered my most recent refill on Friday June 16th nd received it as expected on Monday the 19th. Not a single hitch. Their website says that they're upgrading the site this weekend.

Southwest Medical Group would like to announce the debut of your new easy to use refill system, a new customer support feature, as well as a new streamlined patient user interface. Areas marked with aicon indicates a new feature, recent change or upgrade to an existing feature of the Southwest Medical Group Web site.

Welcome to the new SWMG Refill Request. As part of our ongoing commitment to patient satisfaction we have recently made modifications to the refill system. The following is a list of the modifications;

New Patient GUI (Graphic User Interface) for improved and streamlined ordering process

Patients are no longer required to pay monthly refill administration fee. Your quarterly consultation fee now includes these fees. You will only be billed for the cost of your medication and shipping and handling by our affiliated pharmacy.

Patients may request their refills (23) twenty-three days from the date on their medication bottle.

You may select any available refill anytime after 23 days.

Not all medications have to be refilled all at once for better flexibility.

Refill orders are directed straight to the pharmacy for processing.

Updated order shipment and billing verification that allows timely delivery of your order from our affiliated pharmacy.

When SWMG did have a phone, no one ever answered. You think those dolts they're using for "customer service" are going to respond to a chat inquiry? bwahahahahahahaha If so, I've got a bridge to sell you.

TEN EMAILS and still no response to my issue. They owe me my RX money back or the RX - which I don't want now anyway. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd get that chargeback done. (I keep forgetting...) And it's Universal that will suffer for their ineptitude, not SWMG. And as far as Universal goes, the POPE would be easier to find and speak with....

SWMG = Singularly the Worst Money Grubbers

Too bad more of us don't speak with our wallets....

My order was flagged at pharmacy problem with payment. I've been calling Universal Rx for 2 days to try to resolve the problem. All I can get is a recording. SMG's site says to call after 3:30pm. Tried that got the RECORDING. Can anyone offer any suggestions or possible have another number for the pharmacy? I have 866-400-8343 ext 10, which is USELESS. I have used SMG before without a single glitch, but this is pitiful. Of course I've left messages which I'm sure will not be returned. SMG does not answer they're phones, very frustrating. Consult went fine, just cannot get my order.

Maybe you could fax them the proper payment info, jusy include your name and shipping address and all that stuff they need to know its you, its worth a try if they have a fax number listed on the site.

I went on SWMG's new web site to order a new Consultation. I had a problem when I got to the page where you chose an appointment time. All of the appointment slots were grayed out for every appointment through Wednesday. The openings are supposed to be marked in green.

So, I sent them one email to SWMG telling them what the problem was at about 7am this morning.

I got a phone call from SWMG at 11:00am today and they did everything manually for me over the phone and gave me a consult time for later today.

I had my consult and just checked my order and have a tracking number. I normally pick my orders up but I am out of town and doing a drop ship. Tracking shows my order is on its way to the drop ship address

The new site seems to have some beginner's bugs to be worked out. But, SWMG has always been Top Notch for me and they continue to be just as Superb as ever.

Calling either Southwest or Universal Pharmacy is a big waste of time. You get a recording, and there is no need to wait for a call back. However, I used the Southwest live chat on Friday the 7th of July with great results. They were actually helpful and it took about 5 minutes. Ordered a refill on Friday and I just checked the tracking, and it will be here today (the 10th). One thing I have found with Universal. For some reason they will not ship for Saturday delivery. This is the 3rd time I requested it and paid for it only to have the package sent Next Day Air and show up on Monday. I would still proceed with caution. I continue to see a lot of poeple having trouble with both Southwest and Universal.

I received my package today. I ordered and paid for the cheapest delivery, $12, on Friday and received it today, Monday. But was a bit shocked to see I was charged $155 for the consult.

I dont post here very often but I do read the board. I'm still kind of new here and appreciate all the info available. I just read the post's on SWMG and I guess I should put in my 2 cents.

SWMB has been very good and loyal to me for the last 8 months. I admit, I got a bit concerned reading all the other post. I ordered my refill on Friday, knowing that they would not get the order till today, the 10th and they have already relayed the info to the web site where I can see what the status is. The first time I looked it said "in process", I looked just now and it has been shipped and has a tracking #.

They have always been very efficient. I am sorry to here others have had some trouble and even thought that SWMG was folding. I know that they were re-doing the web site, changing credit card processors and had to change dr.'s and all that.

Perhaps a little patience is called for because they do handle alot of customers. It really is too bad that our local doctors will not and do not understand the chronic pain some people go through.

Okay, nice to meet everyone, thanks for letting me post.
I hope everyone has a great week and GOD BLESS>

Actually, SWMG has raised their overall take by $10. They used to charge $100 for the consult and then another $15 as an "admin. fee" for each of the three fills you'd get as you had them filled. That was a grand total of $145 during the life of the script. Now they charge a flat $155 up front and you no longer pay the $15 admin. fee with each fill. All in all, no matter how you do the math, the consult fee IS $155 which is a $10 increase. And earlier this year, the pharmacy jacked up the prices about $20 per fill. I love figuring out economics!

I used SW for over 4 years. It seemed that there have been many new problems in the past year or so and that it has cost me more money and stress than ever before. I started e-mailing and calling to confirm certain things such as delivery charges for Sat. which was never delivered until Monday, refills that were deleted, credits due to me which I was supposed to get on my next consult, delays unexplained, etc.... I did my consult with their new dr., who is very nice and knowledgeable, Wed., received my persc. and a verification call from Universal the next day, stating my order would be sent both meds together on the 30th priority overnight, as I usually do. On Friday I checked my e-mail and there was a note from support as SW, there was some generic letter stating I had been suspended and no longer was able to use the service because of "investigative questions, inaccurate information, etc." I do not understand how they can do this to me after being a loyal and diligent customer for so many years. Regardless, I still have not received the credit charged for the consult but my patient account no longer exists. The only thing I can say is that the cust. svc. agents are completely rude and uncaring and they are on a power trip being able to delete a loyal long term customer. I hope anyone looking to use them thinks twice...

I just thought I'd post about my latest experience with SWMG. I know that they had some problems and re-reading this thread it seems that alot of people got messed with.

Sorry to hear that for those that did not like SWMG. I have been with them for about a year now. Just had my 4th consult. The female doc is such an articulate, nice, compassionate and truly friendly person,,its hard not to keep using them. I had to use another service before and the phone call consisted of "OK, what is it you want?" "We'll get that to you. END of discussion.

The Dr. at SWMG (the female, I dont think we are supposed to name names) spent probably 10 - 15 minutes with me just chatting. About my new job interview, experience is my career, etc. :My own doc doesnt even do that.

Anyway, I just wanted to pass along that they seem to have their problems worked out,,,,the new online chat is really cool. I consulted Wed.,,, just checked, the plane is landing here where I live probably as I type.

Have a great day. Oh yeah, I'm still figuring out this posting stuff and have recently discovered how fun the smileys can be. so, this is how I feel at 6:00 CST.

I've been with SWMG for a long time. I had a good consult with the new doc, too, she was really helpful, actually, with the exception of telling me that if I'm not forcing at least half of my body weight in water then I'm dehydrated. I've had migraines for so long, I really do know what works and what doesn't to control them. She pretty much forced me to buy a script of vitamin B2, which I've tried. I know there is some science about it working, but for me it's like trying to take out an elephant with a single bb gun shot.

Anyway, I got a call from SW yesterday stating that they knew I'd be needing a refill soon, and that they had a new doc (don't know if they are male or female) and that I have to get a new consult??? They said no charge, and that I'd still get my 2 refills, but I had to speak with the current doc. That seems rather odd to me.

But, whatever, I guess. I think it's really, really sad that we have to go to these measures to have our pain treated. I've had docs tell me, "well, we don't want you to become addicted" - well, if I were truly addicted then I think I'd be having withdrawals on days that I can make it through without taking any meds.

And if I WERE addicted? Why is it anyone's business but my own? If it gives me the quality of life that I deserve, then why do they really care? It keeps me able to remain self employed as a respected Accountant and keeps me off of disability.

I realize there are people who fake things and whatever, but the controls on the medications are ridiculous if you ask me. I'd love to see any of those docs who think I'm addicted manage a day in my life, or walk in my shoes and see what life is like with Lyme Disease, ungodly adhesions, severe migraines, back pain, and deep bone and muscle pain and still maintain a household let alone the office with the many, many things we do here besides accounting. Sorry for the rambling! I guess I get frustrated!

Good health to everyone! Have a wonderful day!

Yep they do have problems: that "23" day period does not apply to the date showing on your bottle, it is the date on your account that shows when it was "shipped". They really do not have a clue what the other hand is doing.

They used to be top notch...I don't know what has happened over there, but it's not nearly what it used to be.

Refills are hit and miss...I know they have not sent any refills for almost two weeks now. They state there's "a shortage" yeah right...every other OP is sending just fine.

If you want to risk not getting your meds...by all means use them.

I know SWMG is full of sh*t. They're shipping the 10/325's to new consults w/o a problem, so why the hell can't they fulfill their obligations to us ?
My friend had a new consult on Tuesday and got her meds yesterday.
I'm so utterly sick of their deceptions. I'll go to YOD for my next consult before I'll EVER use them again.

itchycoo ? Funny, this is your first post.

Are you serious???? WTF......I've sent tons of emails, and called without any response.

I'm going to ask for a full refund since I just had my re-consult. That's if they EVER ANSWER BACK.

I to noticed the single post.....check back in 23 days when you try for a refill....good luck.

so last post was in late january, anyone using them now that are having good or bad exeriences with them? i heard somewhere they were using biwise, anyone have them fill an order from biwise in the last couple of months? and what pharmacy are they using now, i was happy with universal for the longest time. once an op starts using multiple pharmacies something is wrong in denmark, especially when there tossing them around withous letting you know what is going on.. so can anyone give me any input about what pharmacy they are currently using (or pharmacies) and has the service gotten any better. my time was up last refill and i dont wantto get into a trap where im waiting a week for a refill.. so if anyone has any current info i would appreciate it very much...
again. i heard that they were using for a while any way biwise....so if anyone has something else to add to the list of pharmacies and how badly or smoothly there order are going i would appreciate it.. thanks in advance.. this thread has been an eye opener for me...

Just take your bottle to your local pharmacy and tell them you want to transfer your prescription and have it filled there at your local pharmacy for your refills. If this place wants to blow you off and not do your refills then they should transfer your script to your local pharmacy so you can pick up your meds.

I have used them for a while now, but I'm done. My last fill from them came from Caring Well pharmacy. But it took over a week and repeated phone calls and e-mails were not answered. I say steer clear. I have found that when things get tough, they just shut down. So a good gauge is: go to the SWMG web site and see if their live help button is active, or if it asks you to leave a message. If you get the leave message button in the middle of the day it means they are so swamped with complaints that they have just thrown in the towel for the time being. I've seen that happen three different times now. If they do have the live chat going, then it's probably OK. Your best bet is to move on. There are too many others offering better service and prices right now.

Hope everyone is having a pain-free day, and hanging in there during this terrible time.
