I had the need to use an OP this month and I chose SWMG. I filled out the questionnaire, faxed in my records and was given a calander to choose what time slot I wanted to have my consult. As soon as I chose the date and time, which happened to be the next day, I received an email confirmation and a phone number to call the doctor for my consult.
This experience was wonderful. No waiting by the phone, as I had to do the last time I used an OP. Then I found out that the pharmacy was Universal RX and it was in Tampa. So, I looked up the address and it was about three miles from my home. I called the pharmacy and asked if it was possible to come and pick up my order and they said "Sure!".
I had to ring a bell as the door was locked. I got a little worried...lol Then a woman, dressed in nurses clothing, opened the door and let me in. She asked me if I was there to pick up medication and my name. She was very polite. The place was immaculate! It was a brand new office building with a very nice waiting room. All brand new furniture, carpeting and several diplomas on the walls. It kind of looked like a doctor's office. She opened the door to go into a room and I could see clearly into the room. It was a huge room with white, spotless floor, white everything, and a giant table with about 10 people dressed all in white all around the table filling prescriptions. The walls very covered with white shelves of medication bottles, just like your typical pharmacy, and extremely clean.
I was blown away. I was expecting a sweat shop enviroment. I had gone to one of these OP pharmacy's (don't even remember the name)about two years ago and that was what it looked like inside. The builing was like a little shack. I wasn't even allowed to come in. They opened the door, asked me my name and then got my order and handed it out the door.
I was charged $80 for 120 Lortab. NO SHIPPING! And, I now have the peace of mind of seeing where my medication is coming from and how it is filled. I am very impressed!
We( VIP's) get a $25 discount with SWMG so my consult was $75 and the total was 155! AND, the whole process took less than 24 hours!
What a great experience!
B.
ps SWMG also sends, I think $5, of every order to the Tsuami Disaster Relief.

I have been waiting on my refill since WEDNESDAY. No response by phone, email fax or even no return call from pharmacy... 2 emails, one I got saying they had problems w/ current dr, but why, if they have a replacement dr, would they hold the RX from going out... I have a friend on the VIP side that says they had trouble w/ their shipper (Pharmacy or UPS?) and that is why the scripts were delayed. No posting by SWMG on the free side, and the way they aren't answering calls is very suspicious.. Can you say... Belly up! I have a feeling no one will be getting anything or why wouldn't they post or even answer the phones? The voice mail is "full"...very very very suspicious. Just MHO. Jo
