I had the need to use an OP this month and I chose SWMG. I filled out the questionnaire, faxed in my records and was given a calander to choose what time slot I wanted to have my consult. As soon as I chose the date and time, which happened to be the next day, I received an email confirmation and a phone number to call the doctor for my consult.

This experience was wonderful. No waiting by the phone, as I had to do the last time I used an OP. Then I found out that the pharmacy was Universal RX and it was in Tampa. So, I looked up the address and it was about three miles from my home. I called the pharmacy and asked if it was possible to come and pick up my order and they said "Sure!".

I had to ring a bell as the door was locked. I got a little worried...lol Then a woman, dressed in nurses clothing, opened the door and let me in. She asked me if I was there to pick up medication and my name. She was very polite. The place was immaculate! It was a brand new office building with a very nice waiting room. All brand new furniture, carpeting and several diplomas on the walls. It kind of looked like a doctor's office. She opened the door to go into a room and I could see clearly into the room. It was a huge room with white, spotless floor, white everything, and a giant table with about 10 people dressed all in white all around the table filling prescriptions. The walls very covered with white shelves of medication bottles, just like your typical pharmacy, and extremely clean.

I was blown away. I was expecting a sweat shop enviroment. I had gone to one of these OP pharmacy's (don't even remember the name)about two years ago and that was what it looked like inside. The builing was like a little shack. I wasn't even allowed to come in. They opened the door, asked me my name and then got my order and handed it out the door.

I was charged $80 for 120 Lortab. NO SHIPPING! And, I now have the peace of mind of seeing where my medication is coming from and how it is filled. I am very impressed!

We(VIP's) get a $25 discount with SWMG so my consult was $75 and the total was 155! AND, the whole process took less than 24 hours!

What a great experience!

B.

ps SWMG also sends, I think $5, of every order to the Tsuami Disaster Relief.

hi, i see that southwest uses universal... question is where is universal based? is it florida? just wanted to know cause we have wilma bearing down on florida and want to know if there is going to be a delay in delivery, that can be an uncomfortable time while i make my transition to southwest, also, there initial price list didnt have hyrdro on it as far as i can see, do they offer norco 10? generic? and any quick answer would be appreciated, also, if somone who knows can tell me what city universal is in i can track the storm and see how badly the hurricane may affect the delivery times...

thanks so much gang! i appreciate it!!

Universal is in Tampa, and yes they were reportedly closed today due to the Hurricane. I'm currently having a huge problem with them. I have been a SWMG customer for a long while, and have never had a problem. I din't want to say anything bad about them until I find out what they are going to do to resolve my issue. To me, if an issue is well taken care of, there's no need to denigrate the business. If they give me the shaft, as it almost appears right now, I will tell evrybody. It is primarily an issue with Universal, but I expect SWMG to help mediate or facilitate a solution since they are the brokers.
I'll give full details soon....

Back in the day, SWMG was pretty good, reliable and you could get someone on the phone. I refered my sis and she's had nothing but problems. It took 4 days to get her original script out.

Her refill due, she goes to the SWMG site but the link doesn't work. Two more days of unanswered emails and attempts to ring them and she finally gets someone who will call it in to Universal for del. today. Friday, she was put off my the customer service folks at SWMG a half a dozen times with "we don't have the info from Universal yet" so she couldn't get a tracking number or her COD amount. Who knows if they actually filled the thing. She tried calling UPS but they won't do anything without a tracking number.

Are you expecting a Sat. Del from Universal? Any advise for her?

I'm not happy with my ROP either so we'll both be shopping down the road soon...

Vic

DO NOT BOTHER. RUDE CS and mistakes with orders have become more frequent as their prices go up. UNIVERSAL PHARMACY same.

They now use Universal Pharmacy, which is the worst pharmacy I've encountered yet! I get codeine/tylenol #4 from them and they were so stale I tossed them out and took some #3s instead that I had gotten from my dentist - they worked better than the #4's did! UNIVERSAL IS THE WORST PHARMACY IN THE WORLD!

I had never had any problems wtih SWMG or universal in any way, shape, form, or fashion in the 2+ years I was with them. Went with a new place this time because of a low-price consult special and will probably go back to swmg afterward.

no problems with either of these ever, honest. im sorry you guys had troubles.

I used to use SWMG, then swiched to another ROP. I never liked the 15$ fee for your refills. Does anyone know Universals prices or were I can get there price list. (in the past universal were not low on their meds).

I hope to be agreeing with you. I just used them on Thursday. I had an early morning consult and of course the script didn't get sent until today so hopefully I will have it tomorrow although I hate having to pay extra for Sat. Shipping. The Dr. was really nice too. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope it actually gets shipped today. I'm sure you'll all hear from me if it doesn't! Actually, I'll post later one way or the other.

Good luck Turf. If there's an issue, it's not w/ SWMG, it's w/ their pharmacy. SWMG are good people, and they really give their best efforts to accomodate us. The pharmacy is a tad sketchy on occasion.
Since you haven't updated, you likely got your order, so here's hoping all went well!

My refill never shipped on FRIDAY. Swmg is posting reasons for shipping delays on the VIP side, saying there were issues w/ wednesday and thursday refill requests due to issues beyond their control (are there any other kind?). They don't address the FRIDAY refills they didn't go out. They are not returning emails (except a generic blanket email) and phone calls are not being answered either.

I have been waiting on my refill since
WEDNESDAY.
No response by phone, email fax or even no
return call from pharmacy...
2 emails, one I got saying they had problems w/
current dr, but why, if they have a replacement dr, would they hold the RX from going out...
I have a friend on the VIP side that says they had trouble w/ their shipper (Pharmacy or UPS?)
and that is why the scripts were delayed.
No posting by SWMG on the free side, and the way
they aren't answering calls is very suspicious..
Can you say...
Belly up!
I have a feeling no one will be getting anything or why wouldn't they post or even answer the phones? The voice mail is "full"...very very very suspicious.
Just MHO.

I ordered my refill through SWMG's website on May 16th and picked it up at UniversalRx on the 17th. Universal called me to tell me when it was ready.

Then that tells me that something is going on w/ them.
There must be an issue with their office, but at least they could return calls or emails or faxes.
It makes me NEVER EVER want to use them again, dispite past
good luck w/ them....
I have been totally out of meds for 2 days now.
I am going out of town this weekend for memorial day.
I am tempted to cancel my refill and use another OP.
I guess they don't want my money.

I can certainly understand your frustration. Although I don't think there are any problems since my refill went as smooth as ever.

I am sure you tried this but, have you emailed them to inquire why you haven't received your order?

I believe you can contact them through their web site.

I hope you get to the bottom of it and please post if and when you do.

Shane
