Anyone know? Does their online tracking usually lag behind the actual movement of a package?

tre i know they do an update at 9 am and then sporadically during the day.try using www.iship.com they seem to update a little quicker and they track all the delivery services

Very little lag, they scan at every move (pick up, substation arrival, departure, on truck etc). Are you tracking something this AM?

Wow, Tony....that was a fast response, thanks! I actually saw one of your other posts yesterday with the info on IShip.com...very good tip! Unfortunately, it's showing the same info as Fed Ex. I'm not overly concerned, because it's in the right state. Just wondering why it hasn't moved in an hour and a half. Thought it would be on a truck by now instead of "Arrived at Fed Ex Destination". I'm just anxious....I know I need to be more patient.

PS - I actually PMd you a few weeks ago about Philly docs. Did you receive? It's ok if you didn't want to comment, though. Thanks.

edit: Thanks, taffy, yes. It may just be late because it's a "before 3:00pm" service. But usually, in my location, I receive overnight packages in the AM, regardless of priority or PM delivery.

Trelaina: Is it in the right city in your state? Also, is it at the right substation? I had one that had a delay getting on the truck and I finally called...I was suspicious because it wasn't at the substation that normally serves me. It had been sent to the wrong substation and I just went to pick it up instead. FYI

Hmmm, good question. It's not in the right city at the moment, which is why I'm a bit nervous. We have a local hub and it's sitting about a half hour away. That is what's weird. I wonder if I'll have to call. Thanks for the info.

I would call, occassionally it gets assigned to a bin that goes to the wrong location and then they have to reroute it. Please let me know what you find out and good luck!

yea tre the thing with i-ship is they will update before the fedex page so if u keep an eye on them u will get your info first there-about the other thing i got hammered with pms about that and its not something i want to throw around here but i will get in touch with you

Hi, Tony. I had never heard of iship until I read your post. Are you saying you can track any shipment on their website with your FedEx or UPS tracking number? That is very interesting. I'll have to try it next time I have a delivery.

Wow...I lost a whole post somehow. That last one of mine was typed 2 hours before I hit submit. Anyhoo....that's how long my journey was to pick up my package at Fed Ex TWO HOURS. But thank you, taffy, for recommending I call. If I hadn't called as early as I did, it probably would have gotten on a vehicle and would have been delivered tomorrow and I wouldn't have been able to pick it up today. What an ordeal, though! I am "highway phobic" and had to get on 2 different highways. Got lost. Almost ran out of gas. Whew! But I made it, finally, and got good directions back from the VERY nice lady at Fed Ex.

I was offline for a while, just saw your posts. I am soooo glad you called and also got your shipment! What an experience for you! Since packages are shipped in bins, this does happen sometimes, and I am so glad my past experience could help you! Also glad you are home safe!

Taffy - you (and Tony, too) are two more reasons this board is so great! Your responses to my posts were so fast that it really saved me. And then you checked up on me as well, which was so nice. Hope I can do the same for someone else someday! Thanks so much, again.
