Can anyone who has taken all three of these drugs confirm whether or not what I'm observing is normal. I've tries different Benzos from overseas suppliers.

Upjohn Xanax (purple bars) - kicks in fast, can feel it at .5 - 1mg does, goes away in 2-3 hours.

Roche Valium (blue circles) - kicks in fast, last a little longer than Xanax

Trapax (Wyeth Generic of Ativan) - Kicks in SLOW, barely notice it a 2mg, subsides slowly.

I'm pretty sure I'm spot on with the Xanax and Valium typical effect but this Trapax is driving me crazy. I really like the pharmacology of lorazepam, but it seems these yellow Trapax tablets are different from the Ativan brand A shaped white pills. Unfortnately I have not been able to find Ativan brand overseas.

I'm wondering, is the Trapax really that less effective than Ativan brand? Did I just get and old/bad batch from Farmacia Argentina? Or are the onset and offset of lorazepam in general, even the Ativan brand so much more gradual than Xanax and Valium, I'm taking it to be not working when it really is, just more subltly?

My experience with 2.5 mg Lorazepam from op4less is just the same compared to Valium or even klonazepam. Kicks in slow, you barely feel the effect. But the next day there is a loss of memory since you had more to compensate for the "poor" effect.

I think it has strong anxyolotic effect but a weak hypnotic effect. That usually is the case when you donīt "feel" a benso.

Xanax is the same for me as Lorazepam though.

My experience is that Lorazepam is VERY subtle in it's action. A couple of hours before any noticable effect and even then it is very mild and tapers off without my really knowing it. I have used the Trapex and it is fairly typical of lorazepam, maybe a little weak but within an acceptable range. I favor lorazepam because it is so subtle. With no real pleasurable effects I don't want *more*.
