I agree that a LL wouldn't show up on a background check, limit that to high-level govt security clearance maybe. The govt doesn't share pending investigations that way.
As someone said, it's somewhat like getting pulled over without being ticketed. Also like that though, as the fed tends to prosecute this kind of activity in "sweeps", getting prosecuted for one illegal import with evidence of a half-dozen seizures with accompanied LL's isn't gonna help your defense. You lose credible deniability as it shows a pattern of behaviour. You wouldn't be charged with each prior LL as you were already served with the LL itself, but it establishes you as a habitual importer of illegal substances. That's an important distiction.

I just received a seizure letter from customs. What should I do. Should I answer the second page sign it and send it back in or should I ignore it.

To be honest I was not expecting a package. This must have been from a long long time ago. But what should I do about it.

How do they price the pills? Is it based on a invoice inside from the seller? Is there a Kelly's Blue Book for pills/meds? Is it an average of US prices? I understand why they have to assign a $ value to the seized property, but how do they come to these prices?

The whole LL thing would make me very nervous. Does the co. reship if the package is seized, or do you just call it a loss?

Google uses (as does all other search engines) YOUR words/ keywords to find the most relevant matches for your search.
In this instance, the majority of the time, if u search online for: "buy my meds online" the results will come up with DByers.com along with other stuff.
Search the above phrase, and have a look see at the results.

Under the Patriot Act, it does allow for searching your home without a warrant, when your not home, and they can take anything they want without even telling you what they took, or even that they searched your home.

The FBI is in hot water for using "National Security Letters". This allows/allowed them to do whatever they wanted whenever they basically wanted. There was basically no judicial review to receive authorization and they can/could do whatever they want. They could probably even give you a colonoscopy when you’re asleep. LOL
