But don't worry.
If the local or fed LE had any interest in your activities, they wouldn't send you a letter.
First of all, you didn't receive, sign for, or have in your posession anything (or don't currently have anything).
If they go to their boss and say how they whacked some small-time user, they'll be reprimanded for wasting (perhaps) 10's of thousands of dollars to make an example of you. Doesn't look good on their resume.
Large schIII quantities,, any sch II's and steroids get extra LE attention.
If you're not pushing the buck in those categories, just shred the letter.
I mean, if they really wanted you, don't you'd think they'd require a signature, or do a controlled delivery.
You're a little fish in the Atlantic Ocean.
God forbid, just don't respond to the ll.
Forget about it, don't answer "out of area" anonymous calls, and enjoy life.

I've got about a dozen LL's in my time. I doubt there is any limit. No one has shown up at my door or even bothered to call me. I just would try until I find a way to obtain the desired end result. There's nothing I wouldn't do to try and help myself when no one else would. I can't just live in level 6-8 pain, after a while it really becomes something that causes a great depression and lack of a real normal life. It's really unfair that some people live a perfectly normal life without meds but that's not my luck. Without meds I simply cannot live a normal life, unable to get out of bed and needing special help to just get to the bathroom.

So for those that can live med free, that's great for you, but I can't, the pain is simply too great for me to over come it without meds. No LL is going to stop me from trying to feel normal.

I got my first Cool J on a seizure after ordering from Pura Vida (I think?). I was scared. The first time is always scary! They make it sound like you're doing something wrong. Like it's a crime to treat your pain when no one in the US will help you with it? But no one ever called me or bothered me. No LE involvement whatsoever, which was a huge relief. I am the squarest, most moral and law-abiding person you can imagine, so the whole situation was ridiculous. I've never even gotten a ticket. I am the one who always pushes the walky walk button, looks both ways. I am the one who helps the snails safely across the sidewalk and keeps a road map on hand at all times, entirely to assist the people who stop me to ask for directions. If only everyone could be like me, it would be one beautiful, dorky utopia. Anyway I am the last person on earth who should have problems with LE.

I mailed the LL back to the IOP, as they said they needed to see it in person before they could re-ship. (Apparently people fake them somehow). They received it, re-shipped, and then a second LL came from the same point of entry (Miami again). I photographed the letter and attached it to an email (as proof) and told the IOP that the re-ship had been seized as well.

They said that they could only do one re-ship (which is ok - I mean, at least they tried), and nothing came of the second LL either. No calls or anything.

I guess there is *something* in LE that is working right, that they are too busy going after other people for other reasons, to hassle me in my squarehood.

Yup, the something that's working -- aside from opening our mail -- is the theft of our goods at the border. They don't come to our residence because we don't possess that which they are stealing.

P.S. I'm also virtually certain my LL was a fake.

Love Letter from customs ie. seizure letter. LMAO Just like in high school, only you DO get screwed (no meds).

Yes, a Love Letter occurs when Customs confiscates your order that originated outside the United States.

In the LL you have to wonder what the word "Destroyed" actually means...

I "destroyed" a few pills myself yesterday. I'm sure they were "destroyed" rather nicely in my stomach.

I love the little "warning" from USCBP at the bottom of that page telling us about all the risks. Of course, they don't tell us that the biggest risk is that we may receive nothing at all due to their actions.

The whole thing reeks of double standards. And sadly, their "help" really isn't free of charge at all. Protecting us from ourselves (and protecting the pockets of the domestic pharmaceutical companies) costs unwitting taxpayers millions upon millions every year. Very sad.

And we who need the meds get to pay extra for the privilege of being treated like second-class citizens.

Temazepam is a Controlled drug in the UK, in the same class as flunitrazepam (Rohypnol), unlike the other benzodiazepines, so it sounds like a LL is a lucky outcome.

I telephoned UK Customs a few weeks ago, and they said that your address may be 'kept an eye on', but apparently by the postal services, not Customs. They were very cagey, and kept trying to squeeze out personal details.

I'm pretty sure they do. I know US customs seems to have flagged me - twice I've tried to order and twice received LLs so I just gave up on International.

I too, like a lot of other posters have received several LL's over the years. I don't think it the odds have increased, unless your ordering form a country, That have greater then normal political problems.
I would say, for me, the chance of an LL is around 5-10% when you live in the USA.

i had a reputable IOP do 3 re-ships and not one LL. they ultimately refunded my $$$.

I knew it, this is just part of the way they operate. It's not a total scam, but if they can get you they will. I don't want to get into details, but the fact that I new it was the pharmacy should tell a lot of people I know what I'm talking about.

Okay, I just received my second LL from the USCBP. However, unlike the first one, there's no doubt in my mind that this one is fraudulent (and/or bait).

Not only is this one formatted differently from the first (also now confirmed a fraud/bait), but I have absolutely no undelivered orders from any IOP.

Do they just pick your name and some meds out of a hat and send out bogus notices? Why anyone would spend 41 cents to mail something like this for no reason is beyond me. Do they really think I'll reply? How silly.

I'm not sure how unusual it is, though. I've seen many posts from people who wonder about their LL's. I'm guessing a good percentage of them are as bogus as mine.
